[vc_row][vc_column width=”3/4″][vc_column_text]GURU PURNIMA was celebrated at the Ramakrishna Mission, New Delhi, on Sunday, the 9th July 2017, by devotees with great fervour.

Guru Purnima is traditionally celebrated on the full moon day of Ashada (Ashada Purnima). It has been a day on which teachers are worshipped respectfully all over the nation. In the Ramakrishna tradition, this day is celebrated in all the centres with a special worship of Sri Ramakrishna. Devotional singing of Stotras and bhajans in honour of the Guru, special Homa and short discourse highlighting the importance of Guru in one’s life mark the occasion.

Revered Secretary Maharaj rendered devotional songs followed by Swami Dhruvarupanandaji. Then Pushpanjali started at 10.53 a.m. and pranam mantra was administered by Revered Secretary Maharaj. Before pranam mantra, Ganges water was sprinkled in the hands and heads of all devotees for purifying them, flowers were given in their hands by volunteers, who collected them after pranam mantra was administered to them, and then those flowers were offered to Sri Sri Thakur.

When the arati was over all the devotees left the Temple after offering pranams to Sri Sri Thakur, Ma and Swamiji and  were served cooked prasad.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Video Recording of the talk:
