[vc_row][vc_column width=”3/4″][vc_column_text]The Ramakrishna Mission, New Delhi, organized a cultural programme (a dance ballet titled “Jyotirmoy Nivedita”) by girl students of Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Narainpur, Chattisgarh, on 19th March, 2017 . The dance ballet with powerful dialogues entitled “Jyotirmoy Nivedita” is based on the life and work of Sister Nivedita, a beloved disciple of Swami Vivekananda.
The selection of important dialogues and dance direction, was done by the team leader, Dr. Sangeeta sharma, who also gave the introductory and concluding remarks on the stage at the end of this dance drama. The programme started with a conversation (with the backdrop of a church in London) between the young Margaret Noble and church fathers, who could not satisfy untimately the spiritual doubts raised by her. Next, when Swamiji came to London and was speaking at a function on Indian philosophy and spirituality practised in India, the young Margaret Noble got all answers to her life’s problems and cleared all her doubts.
And at the next scene when Swamiji gave a call to her to come to India and serve the poor and specially to help the girl children in India who were deprived of even the elementary education in those days. Margaret Noble readily and positively responded to Swamiji’s call and came to India for fulfilling his dreams. Some time after coming to India, Swamiji got diksha for her to fulfil her spiritual aspirations and gave her the name of “Sister Nivedita”. Then in the subsequent scenes, it was shown how Sister Nivedita went from door to door in Kolkata and got the girl children and educated them by running a school in her name. Thus the ballet went on with powerful dialogues and songs with suitable narratives till the end of her life.
At the end of the programme, there was a standing ovation for the superb portrayal of this programme and Revered Swami Shantatmanandaji expressed great satisfaction and happiness at the powerful dialogues and dances at the appropriate sequences expressed through the ballet, “Jyotirmoy Nivedita”.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Glimpses of this drama:
