PUBLIC MEETING ON SWAMI VIVEKANANDA DAY
on Friday, the 25th February 2011

As part of  the Birthday celebrations of Bhagwan Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi and Swami Vivekananda a series of Public Meetings were organized for three days from 25th. 26th and 27th February 2011.   The first day, i.e., 25th March, was observed as Swami Vivekananda Day, the second day (26th February) was observed as Sri Sarada Devi Day and the third day  (Sri Ramakrishna day) was  observed as Bhakta Sammelan Day.   For speaking on all the three days, two senior Swamis of the Order were invited – Revered Swami Nikhilatmanandaji, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Sevashrama, Allahabad, and Revered  Swami Brahmeshanandaji, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission, Chandigarh.

The programme on 25th February, which was observed as Vivekananda Day, started at 4.30 p.m. with the devotional songs rendered by Shri Bishnumurari (Champak) Chatterjee and Sir Chandra Nath Mukherjee accompanied by Shri Ratnendu Batabyal on Tabla.   At about 5.25 p.m. Swami Nikhilatmanandaji and Revered Brahmeshanandaji, accompanied by Revered Ssecretary Maharaj, occupied their seats on the dais.  Then Revered Secretary Maharaj welcomed both of them and also the devotees assembled in Sarada Auditorium on that day. After the welcome address, both the Swamis spoke in Hindi on the subject, “Life and Message of Swami Vivekananda” and their talks were well appreciated by one and all.

The Meeting ended at  6.35 p.m.   About 170 devotees were present on this occasion.

SRI SARADA DEVI DAY
on Saturday, February 26, 1911

The second day, i.e.,  26th February, was observed as “Sri Sarada Devi Day”.      On this day Shrimati Swapna Chatterjee rendered devotional songs from 4.30 to 5.00 p.m. accompanied by Shri Abhijit Aich on tabla and Dr. Sima Mukherjee on Harmonium.   From 5.05 p.m. to 5.40 p.m. Shrimati Kanika Majumdar rendered devotional songs accompanied by Shri Abhijit Aich on Tabla.

After the programme of devotional songs, Revered Secretary Maharaj welcomed both Revered Swami Nikhilatmanandaji and Revered Swami Brahmeshanandaji and all other devotees assembled at the Meeting.  Then both the Swamis spoke on Life and Message of Holy Mother Sarada Devi in Hindi.

The Meeting ended at 6.30 p.m.   About 200 devotees were present on this occasion.
