Sri Lakshmi Puja was performed with due solemnity in the Temple of the Ramakrishna Mission on Tuesday, the 11th October, 2011. Sri Sri Thakur and Swamiji were adorned with new dhoti and chaddar. The pictures of Holy Mother and Mother Lakshmi, placed on the left side of Sri Sri Thakur, were also decorated with new sarees.
An artistic background with flowers in the sanctum sanctorum provided a beautiful setting. Flower vases holding various kinds of flowers were tastefully arranged in the garbha mandir.
After the evening Arati, special puja to Godess Lakshmi started at 7.10 p.m. and ended at 9.00 p.m. At the end of the Puja, Pushpanjali mantra accompanied the flower offerings of the gathered devotees. Shri Chandra Nath Mukherjee, Swami Girijeshanandaji and Swami Animeshanandaji rendered devotional songs accompanied by Shri Neeraj on tabla. Arati to all the deities was performed by Swami Tattwatitanandaji Maharaj after bhog. Devotees offered pranams to Mother Lakshmi, Sri Sri Thakur, Ma and Swamiji. The Temple was closed at 9.50 p.m.
All the devotees who attended the Puja were served Prasad.
