Guru Purnima was celebrated this year on 12th July, 2014 at the Ramakrishna Mission. A special puja of Sri Ramakrishna was performed. A Homa (havan) was also performed as part of the program. Swami Shantatmanandaji, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission, Delhi spoke briefly about Guru and Guru Purnima. All the devotees, volunteers and others accompanied in the devotional singing of hymns and bhajans. About 1800 devotees attended the morning celebrations and were given cooked prasad. Special bhajans were sung in the evening after arati. 500 devotees attended the evening celebrations and had boondi prasad. Some photos from the celebrations were uploaded on our Facebook page.
