Vivekananda Night Shelter for homeless

Ramakrishna Mission, Delhi has undertaken a new project to aid the homeless people in Delhi. A new ‘Vivekananda Night Shelter for Homeless‘ is currently being built at Sector-1, Rohini. On 6th January, 2014, the ground floor and first floor of this shelter was inaugurated by Revered Swami Suhitanandaji Maharaj, General Secretary, Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math.

Also present on this occasion were Swami Suviranandaji, Assistant Secretary, Belur Math and other dignitaries.

In the public meeting that followed, Swami Shantatmanandaji, Rev. Suhitanandaji and Swami Suviranandaji addressed the audience. Sri Jhunjhunwalaji gave the vote of thanks.

Some of the registered homeless received food packets and prasad after the ceremony. Devotees and others had the first chance to see the homeless shelter and they were all happy to see the Mission’s new endeavor.
