The Ramakrishna Mission, New Delhi conducted covid-19 pandemic relief from the 26th of March to the 31st of May, 2020. We served cooked food (mostly food packets) to 86,774 poor people. The recipients were mostly served Rajma Chawal or Chholey Chawal or Matar Chawal. They were also distributed 30,000 GoMo packets (protein chips weighing 12 gm). In addition we served 17,944 migrant labourers from the 28th May to 31st May, 2020 at New Delhi, Anand Vihar and Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway stations. These labourers were served GoMo packets (protein chips weighing 24 gm), ORS sachets (Oral Rehydration Salts) and mineral water. We have closed the food distribution programme, but the service to migrant labourers may continue for a few days more depending upon allotment of trains for ferrying such labourers.
We acknowledge with a deep sense of gratitude the unstinted cooperation and support extended by all our devotees, friends and admirers who donated liberally for the relief work. We will be failing in our duty if we do not mention the magnanimous contribution of Ernst & Young Foundation who came forward to support us in a major way in this service activity.
