The Ramakrishna Mission, New Delhi, celebrated the Holy Snan Yatra festival with a Special Puja to Bhagavan Sri Ramakrishna on Monday, the 17th June 2019.
Snan Yatra is considered as a sacred day when ceremonial Abhisheka is performed to Lord Jagannatha at Puri Tirtha Kshetra.
About 12 years ago, on this holy day the footprints of Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi were installed in the shrine at Delhi. In commemoration of that sacred event special puja and homa is performed every year.
The day began with Mangalarati and this was followed by Vedic chanting.
The special puja was followed by Homa. Homa was performed by Swami Amritamayanandaji Mj assisted by Swami Kapilanandaji Maharaj as Tantradharak. On the completion of Homa, Pushpanjali was performed by all devotees as administered by Swami Tadbhasanandaji Maharaj.
After the Pushpanjali, devotional songs were rendered by Swami Dhruvarupanandaji Maharaj and others.
Arati was performed by Revered Pujari Maharaj assisted by a few volunteers of the Ashrama. The Arati songs were led by Swami Dhruvarupanandaji Maharaj.
When this Arati was over, all the devotees left the Temple after offering pranams to Sri Sri Thakur, Ma and Swamiji and were served cooked prasad.
