Many devotees participated in the recently held ‘Bhakta Sammelan‘ on 9th Mar, 2014. The day celebrated as ‘Sri Ramakrishna Day’ started with the delegates reporting from 7:30 am to 8:30 am. In the morning session, there were group singing, meditation and ‘Sri Ramakrishna Namarchana‘ chanting.
Swami Shantatmanandaji, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission, Delhi welcomed the delegates and the guest speakers.
Swami Nirvikalpanandaji, Ramakrishna Mission, Dehradun gave a discourse on the topic of मोक्ष – Moksha (Liberation), which was the theme of the Bhakta Sammelan (Link to the audio). This was followed by the discourse of Swami Raghavendranandaji, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission, Indore on the same topic (Link to the audio).
Gita Chanting, singing of Shankaracharya’s Bhajagovindam and other songs marked the occasion. All the delegates took noon Prasad after the Arati to Sri Ramakrishna.
Swami Animeshanandaji, Ramakrishna Mission Sevashrama, Vrindavan sang devotional hymns in the afternoon session. This was followed by a question-answer session in which the delegates inter-acted with the swamis.
The day’s program concluded with the tea session in the evening.
