[vc_row][vc_column width=”3/4″][vc_column_text]1st January 2016 was a special day as Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi’s Jayanti (birthday) coincided with Kalpataru Day. As expected, the occasion drew many devotees and well-wishers from Delhi and surrounding areas in record numbers to Ramakrishna Mission, Delhi.
The morning festivities started out with the Mangalarati of Sri Ramakrishna at 5 am. Special Puja of Sri Ramakrishna and Sri Sarada Devi was performed by Swami Shantatmanandaji. Devotees enjoyed the devotional singing of hymns, bhajans and stotras. Brief talks were delivered by Swamis Asutoshananda ji and Shantatmananda ji. After the Bhog-arati of Sri Ramakrishna, all the devotees partook of the Prasad.
In the evening, many devotees attended the arati of Sri Ramakrishna and the devotional singing following it. Prasad was distributed after the evening program.
