Ramakrishna Mission, Delhi conducted a three day State Level Youth Convention – ‘Awakening the Youth Power’ from 18 – 20 October 2013.
During a session titled ‘Inspired Lives (प्रेरित जीवन)‘ on the third day (20 Oct 2013), Sri H. R. Gaikwad, Capacity Builder among rural youth, spoke in Hindi on ‘Unleashing the potential of rural India (ग्रामीण भारत की क्षमता का प्रकटीकरण)’.
Hanmantrao R. Gaikwad was born in a small village of Maharashtra to a family of poor farmers. Overcoming economic hardship he studied to be an engineer and briefly worked for Tata Motors. He left his job to establish BVG India Ltd with the primary motive of creating employment opportunities for rural youth. TATA Motors was his first client. Today his company is India’s largest integrated services venture and employs more than 35,000 people across India. He still respects and preserves the old ascetic values of simplicity and honest that he inherited from his family.
