Ramakrishna Mission, Delhi conducted a three day State Level Youth Convention – ‘Awakening the Youth Power‘ from 18 – 20 October 2013.
During a session titled ‘Success Mantra for the Youth (युवाओं के लिए सफलता के मंत्र)‘ on the third day (20 Oct 2013), Col. Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, eminent sports shooter, spoke in Hindi on ‘Never lose sight of the goal (लक्ष्य कभी न भूलें)‘.
Col. Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore became the first Indian in the post-Independence era to win an individual silver medal in an Olympics event when he won the silver medal in Men’s Double Trap at the 2004 Athens Games. Between 2002 and 2006 he won 25 international medals in Double Trap Shooting including gold medals in 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester and the World Cup Shooting Competitions in 2004 (Sydney) and 2006 (Cairo). He is a recipient of the Padma Shri and the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna awards.
