Ramakrishna Mission, Delhi conducted a three day State Level Youth Convention with the theme ‘Awakening The Youth Power‘ from 18th October to 20th October 2013.
Dr. M. Mahadevappa, Ex Vice Chancellor, University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad spoke on ‘Food for all (सभी के लिए भोजन)‘ during the session with the theme ‘ India’s Major Challenge: Food Security (भारत की प्रधान चुनौती : खाद्य सुरक्षा)’ on 19 October 2013.
Dr. M. Mahadevappa is a well-known agricultural scientist and educationist. He has served as the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad and also served as the Chairman of Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board, New Delhi. His contributions in agricultural and rural development have brought him several awards and accolades like the Padma Shri, Agriculture Leadership Award and Kannada Science Writer Award.
