Swami Prajna Aranyaji Maharaj, also known as Yogi Protoplasm is a tapasvi and has been living on a diet of only milk for the past thirty years. When he was still a student of Andhra University he read Paul Brunton’s book, “Search in Secret India” which inspired him to visit Ramana Maharsi at his ashrama three days before Maharsi took mahā samādhi. Since then he was highly motivated into spirituality. It was a turning point in his life.
The Yogi traces all living beings — animal, plant, human — to their basic substructure, protoplasm, and hence his name. A disciple of Ramana Maharshi and Yogi Ramaiah, his workshops explain Vedantic truths through science — the skeletal, circulatory and other anatomical systems, stars and galaxies and the dynamic, constantly-changing nature of the material universe.
Yogiji is also highly inspired by the teachings of Sri Ramakrishna and Swāmi Vivekananda. Yogiji travels all over India teaching a remarkably intensive mixture of yoga, meditation and pranayama.
On 17 Sep 2013, Yogi Protoplasm delivered a discourse at the Sarada Auditorium, Ramakrishna Mission, Delhi. His recorded talk with a brief question and answer session after the talk, is presented here.
