Ramakrishna Mission, Delhi conducted a three day State Level Youth Convention with the theme ‘Awakening The Youth Power‘ from 18th October to 20th October 2013.
Ms. Shoma Chaudhury, Managing Director, Tehelka spoke on ‘Challenges before Indian women (भारतीय महिलाओं के समक्ष चुनौतियाँ)‘ during the session with the theme ‘Women: Leading from the front’ (महिलाएँ नेतृत्व की ओर अग्रणीय) on 19 October 2013.
Shoma Chaudhury is Managing Editor, Tehelka, a weekly newsmagazine widely respected for its investigative and public interest journalism. After working for the Pioneer, India Today and Outlook; she joined Tarun Tejpal in 2000 to start Tehelka.com. Shoma has won several awards including the Ramnath Goenka Award and the Chameli Devi Award for the most outstanding woman journalist in 2009. In 2011, Newsweek (USA) picked her as one of 150 power women who “shake the world” and in 2013, she won the Italian Ernest Hemingsway Lignano Sabbiadoro Award for journalism across print, Internet and broadcast media.
